Based in Sacramento, CBC Geospatial Consulting, Inc. (formerly CBC Surveys, Inc.) is a geomatics engineering, land surveying, and 3D laser scanning / HDS / terrestrial LiDAR firm. Our personnel have served clients of different sizes throughout California, the Western States, and abroad. We are experienced working in a variety of geographic and climatic environments. From extensive mapping projects consisting of thousands of acres to small site surveys, we provide accurate, reliable, professional surveying, photogrammetric mapping, right of way engineering, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and terrestrial LiDAR / 3D laser scanning (TLS / HDS) services to help our public works and private sector clients make complex decisions in the forensic/legal, transportation, energy/utilities, industrial, environmental, and water/wastewater sectors.
CBC's President, Christopher Curtis, has served as an expert witness and litigation consultant on numerous wildland fire cases and lawsuits regarding explosions, visibility studies, workplace injury, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death. Our personnel have utilized terrestrial LiDAR in combination with a variety of geospatial sensors and methodologies over the past fifteen years on projects including: wildland fire origin and cause investigations, explosion sites, bridges, roads, pavement elevation surveys, tunnels, airports, water/wastewater treatment plants, rock slopes, earth dams, seismic analysis studies, accident investigation sites, and architectural as-builts.
CBC personnel have remote pilot certification with the FAA to commercially operate small, unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) and/or drones.
